In addition to being one of the largest ports in the Middle East, its location and spacious area allow it to attract multiple and mega investments in the heavy and petrochemical industries and keep pace with the growth of commercial, industrial, tourism and other projects in SEZAD.

Dry Dock

Oman Drydock Company (ODC), which started its operations in 2011, provides ship repair and maintenance services as well as design and manufacture of steel works for the petrochemical industry. The dry dock complex comprises of two dry docks with a length of 410 m and a width of 95 m for the first basin, and 80 m for the second basin with a depth of 10 m and a height of 14 m. The dry dock complex includes berths of 2,800 m and yards with an area of 453,000 square metres.

Renaissance City

Established to provide housing services for people working in SEZAD, especially workers, with the aim of providing them with a healthy housing instead of caravans with a capacity of 18,655 beds. In November 2019, the Board of Directors of Renaissance Company decided to allocate 50 million Omani Rials to increase that capacity to 31,435 beds during several expansionary stages starting with adding 6,240 beds.
